Blockbuster Day - Montmartre, the Louvre, Musee D'Orsay and EuroDisneyland

The sunny Parisian weather continues on our blockbuster day of major art museums, French art culture and the visual stimulation of Euro Disney.
Our morning trip to Montmartre via the Paris metro was very inspiring seeing many artists selling their artworks from beautiful paintings to wonderful caricatures. The compact market space was a buzz of activity as the crowds slowly descended on Montmartre. The Dali Museum was especially inspiring with many of his famous Surrealist works.

Everyone had the chance to purchase artistic souvenirs and have a quick snack before moving on to the Louvre. Some of the staff had a chance to stop and enjoy coffee Parisian style in an outdoor cafe watching the world and the students interact with the artists.

Our visit to the Louvre enabled us to see major artworks amongst huge crowds. The museum was absolutely packed with visitors wanting to see the Mona Lisa, Delacroix's Liberty Leading the People and Gericault's Raft of the Medusa. It was wonderful to see our students so excited about seeing these works, particularly the Mona Lisa, struggling to get to the front of the crowds to see the works.

After the impressive works at the Louvre we headed to the Musee D'Orsay to see all the amazing Impressionist works like Monet,  Manet, Van Gogh and Cezanne and were lucky enough to see an amazing special exhibition on Van Gogh.
After all this artistic inspiration, we headed to Euro Disney to experience the fantasy Euro-culture of Paris. While it was late in the day everyone had a great time despite many of the popular rides being unavailable.
