Thinkers at Rodin
First stop of our new day was to the Rodin Gallery. What a stunning place set in formal gardens. Of course, it had a number of Rodin's famous sculptures such as 'The Thinker' and 'The Kiss'. Best of all, we skipped an enormous queue by booking!
Later, we had a luncheon on the grass - 'Le Dejeuner Sur L'Herbe' outside the 'Hotel des Invalides' in the lovely Parisian sun.

Tuileries, the Eiffel Tower and the Pompidou Centre
After a good sleep and a great continental buffet breakfast, we braved the Paris Metro to travel to the Tuileries Gardens and l'Orangerie to see Monet's Waterlilies and other key modern artists. The day was sunny but brisk as we made our way, via the Metro, to the Eiffel Tower. Here we had a tour that investigated the tower's bunkers and the internal workings of the lifts. We then caught the lift to the second level to view the city and then up onto the roof of the Jules Verne Restaurant to get panoramic vistas of Paris - this is the location where most films are made using the Eiffel Tower. After lunching in the park adjacent to the tower, we caught the Metro to the Pompidou Centre to see their magnificent modern art collection. The building is a modern sculpture in itself with escalators on the outside so you can enjoy views of Paris while going to different levels of the complex.
Our late three course dinner in a restaurant near the Pompidou, continued our enjoyment of French food - no complaints at all!

Brisk Parisian Walk and Dining at La Cantoche
On arrival in Paris, we settled very quickly in our hotel and then stretched our plane weary legs on a walk to Place du Vosges.
Place du Vosges where we had the chance to visit some contemporary art galleries.
Although very tired we all enjoyed a very tasty 3 course meal on our first night

Techno Dubai
Our short stopover gave us enough time to check out the hi-tech communication particulary the projected holographs.
We have arrived in Paris
All excited, well fed by Emirates, and ready for our Paris adventure, although a good nights sleep will go down well!
Here we are, in the photo below, at our short stop over in hi-tech Dubai airport. Everyone was impressed by the holographic projections.
